Song Writer and Producer Mahlatsi Mashego , aka Swaye Major was born and in Bushbuckridge on 21 August 1997. Raised by the streets of Boikhutšo, the multy talented hip hop artist has always believed that his work and musical truth would be heard by the world. Swaye Major started writing poems in primary school which He later changed into rap during his high school years.His earliest memories of music were inspired by his brother Tumelo Given Mashego who passed on during 2010 . Swaye Major has always looked up to his brother. He confesses that his brother Tumelo motivated him in many ways and He was the first person to mentor and mould his writing skills into fine art that we listen to this day.The best advice His brother gave him was to always compete with the man on the mirror and no one else.
Swaye Major always wanted to entertain.The young fresh Prince comes from A Family of 5 with His brother no longer around his older brother Tshepo Samuel Mashego tried filling the void left by Tumelo.Swaye Major Hope for a record deal submitting demos to major labels with no luck of response Swaye Thought all hope was lost.His Big brother Tshepo came to the rescue as He Registered a Record Campany Titles Prudential Entertainment back in 2017 He then told Swaye to be the first artist as He Knew how much he loved making music.The recording artist sealed the deal and tried studying with the music while journey was on progress.
