Biography
Ernest Boateng Asante professionally known as Ernest B. Asante is a Ghanaian musician, rapper and songwriter, started his music career in 2019 after releasing his debut track, Denkyira Song, formed his own record label imprint or movement, Bfamily Vibes, he was born and raised in Kyekyewere, Ghana where he had his primary and junior high school education. He went to Boa-Amponsem Senior High School in 2007 and graduated in 2011. He was part of the batch of students who started the four year high school program.
As a young boy, Ernest B. Asante spent a lot of times indoors and was heavily influenced by urban lifestyle, events and programs through the media and the internet, such as hip hop, movies and was quiet different from his fellow children in his hometown. He developed love for the media and wanted to become a broadcaster. He grew up listening and watching media personalities like Andy Dosty, DJ Black, Kwame Adinkra, Jay Foley, Nana Aba Anamoah, Benard Avle, Isreal Laryea, Captain Smart and others.
He showed interest in music at the age of ten where he used to perform popular songs at parties and school gatherings, creating mud-made, empty boxes and cans used as musical instruments to play music anytime he was alone in the house and also, disturbing the neighborhood with his friends, according to his mother in an interview.
Because he was living in a smaller town where there were no access to musical studios and other facilities, he was not able to showcase his dexterous songwriting and singing or rapping abilities to the world and this made him suspended music until 2019.
His first track, "Denkyira Song" made him more popular in Ghana and on social media.
